We hope all those who agreeed to attend last year will be able to come along plus any others, hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this time. We're having a family fun day on sat the 2nd of June at Heaton Stan, it's a bank holiday weekend of the Queens Jubilee.

There's going to be rides, live band, bouncy castles, cake and sweet stalls and a big BBQ etc.

We're also going to have a 7 a-side football tournament, it's going to be £50 a team to enter ( squad of 10 is £5 a man) and it's basically everyone that played with or against Stephen Thompson over the years or who had the pleasure of knowing him, if you'd like to submit a team please complete the form below.

All proceeds go to the Stephen Thompson foundation although the day is not about raising funds for the charity it is more of a celebration of thoma and his life. If your free then it would be great to get everyone from our past together for what should be a great day and don't forget to fetch your wifes husbands, girlfriends and kids etc because there'll be plenty for everyone to do.

Should be a great day!

Bob and Sue sponsored walk took place on the 3rd of March 2012, taking in a number of Stephen's old football clubs including Wallsend, Blue Flames Club Benton, Wideopen, Ponteland, Blue Star Ponteland then on to Lemington Social. It was a really great day and a good turnout so thanks again to all those that took part and for everyone that donated to the fund.

Bob and I would like to thank everyone for their kind donations of which the grand sum of £1,115 was raised. The walks a total of 62 miles were completed around the football grounds in memory of Stephen our son where he had played, from the age of 9 to his retirement at 33 years of age.

Family and a couple of Stephen’s friends who came on the last walk with Bob and I helped us get through this very emotional time. The walks took three separate days due to the logistics of where Stephen had played.
